Feeling limited in your movement? Our tissues must be free of restrictions to function optimally!
Manual therapy encompasses a variety of techniques, including joint mobilizations, mobilization with movement, myofascial release, scar massage, soft tissue massage, and visceral work. We combine these techniques to maximize the benefits of reduced pain, improved range of motion and flexibility, enhanced circulation, and reduced overall stress.
Your custom program begins with a full body postural and movement analysis to design the right plan for you!
After a full body assessment, your plan of care will be tailored to your individual needs and limitations through hands on therapy and prescriptive exercise. Your physical therapist will meet you where you are at in your journey and will adapt exercises to your specific goals. Your program will include activities that you are able to do both in your home and at the gym.
Safe and effective non-pharmaceutical alternatives used to decrease pain and improve muscle function and coordination.
These interventions can aid in faster recovery when combined with other treatments. Both target soft tissue dysfunction within muscles that cause pain, stiffness, and movement limitations. Dry needling is a deeper and more localized treatment and cupping is a more superficial treatment. They have been proven to treat numerous musculoskeletal issues, including overuse injuries, neck pain, headaches, back pain, tendinitis, hip pain, and more. There is no additional charge for supplies and is included in the price of your session.
Kinesiotaping can be a valuable tool in your toolbox, offering gentle support and promoting healing.
Unlike traditional rigid athletic tape, kinesiotape is a stretchy, elastic tape applied strategically to your body. We use specific taping techniques to: increase hand/wrist stability, reduce SI joint or low back pain, improve scar healing, provide diastasis recti support, and to enhance breastfeeding comfort through postural encouragement. There is no additional charge for supplies and is included in the price of your session.
Mamas, let's take a look at your common baby care areas to maximize YOUR comfort!
Many aches and pains that arise during postpartum come from our body mechanics with feeding, picking baby up from crib, carrying the carseat, etc. Your physical therapist will take a look at how you do these things in real time, so suggestions can be made to make both you and baby more comfortable. It is key to look at lifting/carrying techniques if you are recovering from a C-section or if you're experiencing pelvic floor symptoms as well!
Pelvic health issues raise so many questions and we are here to help support you through some of those topics.
We want to help you better understand the root cause of your pelvic floor and core dysfunction, along with any orthopedic complaint you might be experiencing. We will then teach you how to better use your body in order to reduce whatever symptoms you may be having.
Mamas, we will educate you on how to use and prepare your body for birth and on what to expect in postpartum. We will provide you with additional resources such as breastfeeding and mental health support, so you have a well rounded postpartum team.
Note: Whether you experience a vaginal or C-section delivery, most women have healing required in postpartum. We will help you recover as you grow into the best version of yourself.
