Through targeted strengthening, postural correction, and movement re-education, we help resolve the underlying causes of your pain rather than just masking symptoms.
Pregnancy and childbirth can create significant stress on your pelvic floor muscles, leading to pain and dysfunction that shouldn't be ignored.
Our in-home or virtual comprehensive pregnancy and postpartum program includes birth preparation education, labor positioning techniques, breathing mechanics for delivery, and postpartum recovery planning.

We recommend starting in-home pelvic floor therapy around 3 weeks postpartum. However, education and gentle techniques can begin earlier if needed. Ideally, we will have been working together prenatally already and you will already have a clear plan setup for you for postpartum because of that.
You do not need a referral to see Dr. Abigail. Colorado allows direct access to physical therapy services, so you can schedule directly with us.
Your 75-90 min initial evaluation includes a comprehensive health history, posture and movement assessment, an internal exam if indicated, and discussion of your goals. We'll create a personalized treatment plan based on your specific needs. There is usually time for treatment if need be as well.
Treatment duration varies based on individual needs and goals. Your plan of care is based off of hitting milestones through phases of care, truly meeting you where you are at, vs a set number of visits. This visit number can range anywhere from 3-8+ visits, depending on what progress and gaol achievements are being made.
